How do "maintain this enchantment" skills work?
I switched my W/R to a W/Mo last night after getting frustrated with not being able to solo very well. I've been playing around with the Healing skills that say something along the lines of "as long as you maintain this enchantment" but don't quite get how they work.
I can start up Mending, for example, and it'll last me a good chunk of a mission– but then suddenly it'll stop. I imagine it should keep going so long as I have the energy to fuel it, correct? (Which I do.) Maybe an enemy removed enchantments from me and I just didn't notice it?
The Live Vicariously skill has me a little baffled, as well. Its functionality description is very similar to Mending in that it sounds like I should be able to cast it on myself, then go hack away and get health from it. Problem is, I start it up and it seems to end immediately when I attack– does it only work as long as I'm not doing anything else? And therefore, only works on other party members? I'm just confused because Mending works when I'm attacking or moving or whatever, so it seems like Live Vicariously should too. And they both say "target ally" but nothing about not working on yourself.
Thanks,
m19

Your enchantments got stripped.
And both those skills are horrible, the only monk skills that belong on a warrior are [skill]Mending Touch[/skill][skill]Purge Signet[/skill][skill]Succor[/skill].

Yes, that's exactly right. You can cast both mending and live vicariously on yourself, or whoever you want to, and it will stay until a monster removes it. You can also only cast as many enchantments as you have energy regen, since each enchantment gives you -1 energy degen, and when you run out of energy, your most recent enchantments will end.
So as a warrior, you can only use 2 maintained enchantments (either 2 mendings or 2 live vicariouslys or 1 of each).
Edit: Ignore the person above me (likely also, below me)

Cool, thanks for the clarification guys, I appreciate it. (I wasn't necessarily looking for skill opinions or suggestions though, ca_aok. )

to be fully correct, you can maintain as much enchantments as you wish, but you will end up with negative energy regen (so just energy degen), and as soon as your energy reach zero, you will lose any number of enchants to have your regen back to 0.
For example, as a warrior, you can maintain mending on 4 ppl, but with a -2 energy regen. As soon as you reach 0 energy, 2 mendings will stop being maintained.
(this isn't really needed for the OP, but at least he will get the full comprehension of enchants)
